||Ed Maloney served in the Illinois State Senate for 10 years, and chaired the Higher Education Committee. He took the lead to pass major education legislation, including performance-based funding, college and career readiness, creation of the Illinois Public Agenda for College and Career Success, and college access and afford ability. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Lewis University and a master’s from Chicago State University.
|Dr. Elaine Johnson
||Dr. Elaine Johnson has been an educator her entire career. She served as the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Workforce Development for the Illinois Community College Board for seven years. She also served for 17 years in the community college system in roles varying from counselor to Vice President, and taught in the secondary school system for nine. She holds a master’s degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and a doctorate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
||Don Sevener has worked in communications and government for over 38 years. He was Deputy Director for External Relations at Illinois Board of Higher Education, overseeing governmental affairs, media relations, and publications. He worked with legislators, key agency executives, and higher education leaders to advance the IBHE legislative agenda. He graduated from the University of Michigan and Michigan State University.
